I'm not some animal rights activist or nothing but come on. There are other ways to attempt to resolve the situation. That should be last resort.I am not much of a cat person, but its still someones pet. It hurts like hell when we lose a pet, I've seen quite a few 'lost my dog' posts here. I can relate with them, as I am sure others can too. Just cause I don't like cats as much as dogs, doesn't mean that people who do don't feel as close as we do with our dogs. Anyways, if he does what u suggested, all that will do is provide a furry body for him to dispose of. Or worse, make the cat so retarded that instead of jumping off the car when it sees the owner, it'll stay on top of the car for the ride.
